Meghan is an Art Therapist and a Registered Psychotherapist. She also hold’s a bachelor’s degree from McMaster University in Social Sciences and the Queens University in Education, along with a specialization certificate in Applied Behavioural Analysis from Mohawk College.
In her work as an Art Therapist, Meghan journeys alongside her clients by offering them a space to explore and engage in the creative therapeutic process. Meghan’s focus is on providing opportunities for her clients to creatively express their thoughts and feelings that would otherwise be difficult to verbally articulate.
Meghan’s therapeutic approach is strength-based and client-centered. She incorporates mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). Meghan has learned the importance of creating safe and empathic spaces for children/youth to express themselves and feel empowered. Meghan has experience working with the following:
