Laura Hubner is a Qualifying Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario. She recently received 8 months of extensive training in psychotherapy at Joseph Brant Hospital providing both individual and group counselling. Laura has an undergraduate degree in International Development Studies and English Literature, a Bachelors of Education, and a Masters in Counselling Psychology. While working previously as a teacher, Laura obtained her three-part specialist certification in special education.
Laura works from an attachment framework primarily utilizing Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response/ Ritual Prevention Therapy (ERP), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). Laura is committed to developing a strength-based, non-judgmental, and collaborative relationship with her clients while striving to be both person-centered and humanistic. Laura believes that all children want to do well and have the ability to do well with the correct support and resources. She has experience working with:
