Life can be difficult, unpredictable, and very challenging at times; therefore, Kayla’s hope is to walk alongside her clients through various times to encourage, empower, support, and instill hope. Being someone who personally benefited from counselling as an adolescent, Kayla understands the importance of being heard, understood, and validated.
Kayla is a cognitive behavioural-orientated therapist by heart but often includes an integrative approach through utilizing various tools such as psychoeducation, emotion regulation, behavior activation, cognitive restructuring, externalization, and skill-building, to best meet the individualized needs of her clients.
Kayla has received additional training in trauma work including Cognitive processing therapy and Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation, Narrative Therapy as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Kayla has experience working with the following:

In her free time, Kayla enjoys bike riding, hiking, dancing, playing board games with her family and friends and watching America’s Got Talent auditions!
