Psychotherapist
Fadak is a Registered Psychotherapist. She holds her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counselling from Niagara University and an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, Specializing in Mental health.
Her approach to working with children, youth and/or families is through a person-centered approach- which means she is always being mindful that you are the expert of yourselves and ensuring we are always working together at your pace.
Before working with the client, it is Fadak’s passion to understand the child thoroughly, and this is typically done by learning about the child/youth, and family from their biological, social, and psychological history. This allows Fadak to understand the individual and their family from the inside out and create a specialized and personalized treatment plan, that is realistic and attainable.
Fadak has worked in various settings over the past few years serving children, youth, and their families, all over Ontario. Fadak specializes in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Solution Focused therapy. She has experience and knowledge in the following areas: ADHD, ASD, Anger Management, Anxiety, Attachment, Behavioural Challenges, Depression, Emotional Regulation, Parent Coaching, Self-Harm, Suicidality, Social Skills, Self-Esteem, developmental stages and so much more.
Fadak shares a strong passion for working with the younger population and is a huge advocate for prevention and solidifying strong foundational life skills. All this is shown through Fadak’s empathy, compassion, creativity, openness, enthusiasm, and anti-oppressive strategies
Fadak is thrilled to meet you and help you reach your full potential!
