Occupational Therapist

Deepa completed her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy at The Mumbai University, India after graduating with a degree in Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational Therapy. She is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.

Deepa has a vast array of experience working with children of all ages and has been a Pediatric Occupational Therapist for 12 years. She has worked in specialty Government Pediatric Hospital in UAE, Dubai and later went on to work as a consultant OT in private practice working with schools and community for children with special needs.

She has received training in Sensory Integration Therapy and has worked for many years with children on the Autism spectrum. She has experience with addressing Handwriting issues in school children and has received training in Handwriting Without Tears.

She has worked on children with varying diagnosis like ADHD, Neuro developmental disorders, Motor Delay, Genetic disorders like Downs Syndrome in her long spanning career.

In her professional career she has helped Children with feeding issues, attention difficulties, dysgraphia, Sensory processing disorder, hyperactivity etc and has worked in a multi- disciplinary team effectively for collaborative care towards the child and family.

She loves to spend her time with family and looks forward to spending her weekends with her grown-up children.
