Emotion Regulation (kids ages 5-7)
This group is for children who are 5-7 years old and are struggling with managing and experiencing big emotions. In the group, we will work towards identifying emotions by analyzing facial expressions and body language, we will explore how different situations can cause various emotions and intensities, and work on developing the language needed to communicate thoughts and feelings. Throughout the session, we will teach and integrate emotion and sensory regulation skills that can be used daily.
Considerations:
- Child must be able to go to the bathroom independently
- To gain the most from the group, child must be able to verbally engage in conversation
- Consent form to be signed by caregiver or legal guardian

Eligible under Occupational Therapy and Psychotherapy. Developed and implemented by an Occupational Therapist who is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
