Joel is a Registered Psychotherapist and earned his Master of Theological Studies with a concentration in counselling from Tyndale University. Joel works to help clients find inner stability, hope, healing, clarity, personal growth, meaningful connections or supporting clients through a transition. He works towards moving beyond coping mechanisms to a more peaceful/harmonious life. He offers an integrative approach utilization Internal Family Systems Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and. He has worked with individuals dealing with family conflict, sibling rivalry, parent coaching, addiction, anxiety, depression, and mental health issues. Joel comes from a client-centred, empathic, honest approach to therapy and works from a trauma-informed strength-based perspective. He takes pride in his passion to come alongside children and adolescents and their families in their journey.
In his spare time, Joel loves spending time with his family (his wife, 4 children and 5 grandchildren). He also enjoys reading, fishing, and studying.
