Sarah Howard
RP (Qualifying)
Sarah is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science from the University of Guelph, with specializations in Neuroscience and Psychology. Through her work in various helping roles and non-profit organizations, Sarah has developed a genuine passion for supporting the mental health and well-being of children and youth, gaining meaningful experience working alongside these populations. Sarah believes that mental health support should be a natural and normalized part of everyday life at all ages, and she is committed to creating welcoming spaces where children and youth feel comfortable sharing their experiences and learning how to navigate them with confidence.

Sarah takes a client-centred approach and works to create a collaborative, empathetic space where clients feel heard, supported, and respected. She enjoys working alongside clients to help them build practical, concrete skills they can carry with them beyond the counselling room to support meaningful and lasting change in their lives. Sarah primarily works from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework, while thoughtfully integrating other evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) when helpful.
Outside of her work as a therapist, Sarah enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, camping, and connecting with family and friends, often alongside her Golden Retriever, Luna.
