Louise brings over 25 years of experience supporting children and youth across clinical, school, and private practice settings in both Canada and South Africa. In her weekday role with one of the largest school boards in Ontario, she has an in-depth understanding of school-based supports and processes, including supporting Individual Education Plans (IEPs), recommending Specialized Equipment (SEA), and collaborating with educators to implement effective classroom and school-wide strategies. Louise prioritizes the unique needs and presenting concerns of each child and their family. She is committed to understanding the whole child within their environments and tailoring support accordingly. Louise works with children experiencing challenges with sensory processing, self-regulation, motor skills, and executive functioning. She stays current with the latest research, trends, and evidence-based practice through wide reading and ongoing continuing education courses.
Therapeutic Modalities
Louise draws from a range of therapeutic modalities, including Ayres Sensory Integration®, skills-based and play-based therapy, coaching and parent education, School-based consultation and collaboration, and evidence-informed occupational therapy practice.
Credentials & Memberships
Louise is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT). She is also Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI) Certified and holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy as well as a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy.
