You might choose to work with Deepa if your child has difficulty with fine motor skills, like writing or cutting with scissors, and struggles to sit in a chair, as is always on the move. Deepa is an experienced Pediatric OT who has been working with children for the last 15 years. She provides therapy to children to meet their developmental needs, overcome sensory challenges and improve their ability to regulate their emotions. She helps improve their self-care skills and play. She offers client-centred and family-centred therapy and considers the child and family as a unit, recognizing that parents are care partners. She offers therapy for children who struggle with attention and get distracted in a dynamic environment like the classroom. She helps families navigate these challenges by offering Assessments, consultations, strategies, and Recommendations along with a home program. Progress of the child’s performance is also monitored, and feedback is shared with parents.

Deepa draws from a range of therapeutic modalities, including Sensory Integration, Neuro-Developmental Approach, Handwriting Without Tears, Play Therapy, Gross & Fine Motor Strengthening, Neuro-Muscular training, Self Care Training & Feeding Therapy.
