Courtney is a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Before her work as a Psychotherapist, she was an elementary school teacher. Her passion for working with children outside of a classroom setting led her to continue her education after teacher’s college.
In her work as a psychotherapist, she has helped clients facing various presenting issues, from anxiety and depression to relationship struggles and trauma recovery. She believes in creating a safe and empathetic environment where children and youth can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment. By integrating evidence-based techniques with a deep understanding of personal narratives, she empowers clients to find their paths to healing and self-discovery.
Courtney’s therapeutic approach incorporates many modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Narrative Therapy approaches. She has experience working with the following:
