Occupational Therapist

Anne completed her Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen Margaret’s College in Edinburgh, UK. She is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists and is a member of Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Anne has 32 years of experience working as a Pediatric OT in a variety of settings, including a healthcare
treatment centre, child’s home and in community daycares / schools in Niagara. She has many years of experience providing assessment, setting functional goals with parents / caregivers, active treatment and consultation services with children from 0-22 years of
age.

She will assist families in addressing challenges with gross and fine motor, feeding, selfcare, understanding sensory processing, self regulation, printing skills, executive functioning skills, visual motor and visual perceptual skills. Anne is familiar with augmentative and alternative communication. She is an ADP authorizer for mobility
devices. She has extensive knowledge and training in feeding( complex medical children with physical challenges and children with underlying sensory issues).Sequential oral sensory approach to feeding, neurodevelopmental therapy, and other professional courses
in sensory processing/ regulation needs, handwriting, play based therapy, solution focused training and using the framework from the Canchild F-words training. This family centred
approach engages parents in looking at areas of development and goals under headings which include function, family ,fitness, fun, friends and future.

Anne is passionate about supporting families and believes in the importance of engaging and empowering parents along this journey as they help their child achieve their greatest level of success and potential.

Outside of work, Anne enjoys an active lifestyle, spending time cycling, jogging, paddle boarding, reading and hiking with her 2 dogs.
