Ph.D. (Psychometrist)

Kin holds a Ph.D. in Human Development and Applied Psychology from the University of Toronto.

Kin has over two decades of experience in assessing cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioural functioning of children and youth while working as a psychometrist at ErinoakKids and a self-employed consultant. Since 2015, Kin has also been a part-time research fellow and academic visitor at the Assessment and Training Centre of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and helps in designing and constructing aptitude tests for various government departments and public organizations in Hong Kong and Macau. As a Psychometrist, he works under the supervision of Dr. Anita Ramani, providing a range of psychological assessments

Kin is a part-time professor, teaching the course of Psychometrics at Humber College since 2020. Earlier in his career, Kin had taught various diploma and undergraduate courses at Hong Kong Polytechnic University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Kin has a strong ability to establish rapport with children and youth (and their families) and empathize with their presenting conditions.
