Registered Social Worker
Shaun is a Registered Social Worker with nearly a decade of hands-on experience supporting children, youth, and families across mental health, child welfare, and education systems. He holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor, an Honours BA in Sociology from McMaster University, and a Child and Youth Care diploma from Humber College.
His practice is rooted in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based approaches. Shaun’s approach to therapy is based on the belief that meaningful change occurs when people feel genuinely seen, supported, and not judged for their experiences.
He brings a steady, grounded presence to therapy, drawing on approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and harm reduction. More importantly, he shows up with honesty, humour, and deep curiosity about each client’s lived experience.
Shaun often works in the following areas:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Trauma
- Ander
- ADHD
- Self confidence
In his free time, he recharges through camping, kayaking, rock climbing, or cycling. He also enjoys quieter moments through reading, writing poetry, playing guitar, or getting into a good video game.
