Saadia completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto and her Master of Science degree in Physiotherapy at McMaster University. She is a registered member of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
In 2015, Saadia and her colleagues presented their research in pain science at the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s National Congress. More recently, she completed an evidence-based course in orthopaedic physiotherapy for children with cerebral palsy.
Saadia has always enjoyed working with children – whether in schools, in the community, or in a clinic. Her passion for paediatric physiotherapy first arose during her placement at ErinoakKids where she worked alongside her preceptors to help children and their families meet their goals. She has always found working with children to be immensely rewarding, especially when it makes such a meaningful impact on their lives and their ability to play and just be kids. She also welcomes the challenge of having to think outside the box when working with a younger client population!
Saadia has been a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton since 2010 and also mentors as part of the Go Girls! Program in elementary schools empowering young girls. In her spare time, she also enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and running.
