Riley Martin

MDiv, RP(Q)


Riley is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). She holds a Master’s of Divinity in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University, and a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University. Riley draws from experience working as an elementary school teacher with the Halton District School Board and incorporates this learning into her therapeutic work. Riley has experience working with children across various age ranges and brings an understanding of child development and creativity to her work with children and adolescents. Riley has a warm, caring, and nonjudgmental approach and seeks to help others feel heard and supported. She enjoys journeying with others collaboratively through the uncertainties of life and helping her clients utilize their unique strengths and their own resiliency to overcome the challenges they face.

Riley works from an attachment framework and practices Family Systems Approaches, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Internal Family Systems. Riley has interest and experience working with anxiety, depression, suicidality, self-esteem concerns, perfectionism, ADHD, trauma, personality disorders and interpersonal challenges.

Riley and her husband enjoy playing tennis, paddle boarding, finding new coffee shops to try and spending time with their puppy.
