Speech-Language Pathologist
Kirsten received her Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science of Language from McMaster University, and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Western University. Kirsten is trained in PECS, PROMPT, and Hanen’s It Takes Two to Talk.
She has experience in assessing and treating language, articulation/phonology, fluency, motor speech, social communication, and voice disorders. She also has experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Kirsten has experience working with various populations, including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Down syndrome, childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), cerebral palsy, and Rett syndrome.
Kirsten is a passionate and dedicated speech-language pathologist, who focuses on providing family-centred and evidence-based services. She ensures that every child receives an individualized and engaging approach.
In her spare time, Kirsten enjoys travelling and exploring new places with her two dogs. She also volunteers to coach basketball, soccer, and skating, and enjoys looking for new ways to be involved in the community.
