Chantal Crawley

Social Worker

Chantal Crawley is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.  She holds a Masters of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University (2006) and a Bachelor of Social Work from McMaster University (2002).  Chantal has been working for over 20 years with families in Hamilton and Halton. 

Chantal is passionate about working collaboratively with children, youth, and their families.  She supports individuals to draw on their own strengths and to develop new skills and strategies that will empower them to achieve their goals, in a way that feels right for them. Chantal provides a safe, supportive, anti-oppressive, LGBTQ+ positive, client-centered environment.  Chantal believes that all children can be successful if given the tools and resources they require. Chantal loves to work together with families to create a personalized plan that will support children and youth in acquiring these tools and resources and overcoming the challenges they face. 

Chantal supports children, youth and families with a range of presenting needs, drawing on her extensive knowledge and counselling expertise in:

Chantal incorporates art, games, and play, along with a personalized blend of therapeutic modalities including emotion regulation therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), attachment therapy (EFFT), mindfulness, psycho-education and parent coaching. 

In her spare time Chantal enjoys engaging in activities that support her own well-being and mental health.  Chantal’s favorite thing to do is to spend time with her two boys, who are her greatest joy and her best teachers.  Spending time with family and friends and incorporating time in nature, especially hiking or kayaking, help Chantal to stay balanced and energized.  Chantal is always striving to learn and most recently is motivated by art and guitar.
