Becky Adam-Park is a registered social worker with the OCSWSSW that works with children, youth and families to provide counselling support and education with regards to mental health concerns. Becky believes that human connection is a powerful tool and her goal is to develop a trusting relationship in a safe and non- judgmental environment. Becky’s passion is to empower others to make the changes they want to see in their lives. Together you will build on the strengths you already hold and learn new skills, abilities and knowledge to make changes in other areas.
With over 15 years of experience, Becky has a strong background in working with children, youth and families. Becky has worked in a variety of environments with her most recent experience being the clinical social worker for two adolescent day treatment programs for youth struggling with anxiety and mood disorders. Becky is excited to be part of the Canoe Therapy Family and is looking forward to working with individuals and families in the community. When Becky is not working at Canoe, she also has a private practice providing counselling support and education to individuals and groups.
Becky is experienced in providing different modalities of treatment including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Behaviour Activation. She is also trained in ASIST, Safe Talk and emotional intelligence. In her spare time, Becky spends time with her family and friends, exploring the parks and trails in the surrounding areas and continuing to learn by reading and attending workshops.
